Time really flies and we are already back from Sweden and the typhoon 'Sollik' is roaring and pouring outside while our heads are weighed down with jetlag. Somehow I didn't put up much here at all during our stay there. Anyway, even though some time passed there is still some things I want to put here as memories. So for a week or two a few of our summer memories will pop up here! Today I will share our little weekend with my sis and her family in Lidkƶping. We had a pretty good time that weekend. The weather was great and called for a quick trip by boat where we had the best fika of the year while watching a magical sunset š

When we came back home that evening we also saw the blood moon hanging over the tree tops.

And then the next day we went for a swim in VƤnern (Sweden's largest lake) which feels more like a sweet ocean than a lake!

There we found so many ladybugs in the water struggling, helplessly creeping and drowning. So we got to save a few! It was a bit odd to see so many ladybugs floating around in groups on the waves!

To me it was a bit of a mystery; what were they doing in the water? I searched the Internet for an answer and I found a decent explanation; Apparently when there is a lot of ladybugs they quickly eat up all the food around them and then they fly off to find food somewhere else. Sometimes they'd fly over the ocean or a lake but when they get tired they simply tumble into the water and stay there until they get washed up ashore (or saved by me ^^) Anyway, mystery solved! š Here are also a few pictures from the quarry in the area. Even though it's "man made" it's really cool and has a great view.

We also went and took a look at LƤckƶ Castle. š

It was so hot that even the cows went for a bath ^^

... and had a nice walk at 'Spiken' where we had some delicious fish.

All in all we had a nice time and it had been a few years since I was there last time so I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for the tours! š
