Far away in a Fjord
Our third day on our camping roadtrip was quite full of spectacular sceneries, some of the world's most beautiful fjords and nordic snow spotted mountains.
I know I will spend at least one or two days this coming fall daydreaming away to those mountains.
I could just feel all stress get washed away with that crisp cold wind.
We left the camping site by Hunderfossen and headed north west.
We decided to change those little plans we had already made - which was to go to Hardangervidda (a big beautiful national park and plateau in Norway) - and went for the Geirangerfjord instead which was a few hours further away.
This we did because the weather forecast looked quite okay in Geiranger compared to most other nearby places in Norway.
Our first spontaneous stop was the deep milky turquoise water of a river which name I don't know of. 🤷🏼
But that didn't stop me from enjoying it! ^^
Next stop was a roaring rapids in between two national parks - Breheimen and Reinheimen.
We basically only stopped for the trivial reason to use the toilet but mesmerised by the surroundings we ended staying there for longer than intended. ^^ just walking up the path a few hundred meters the view was amazing!
There were longer hiking tracks there as well and I would love to go hiking there one day! 😍 The view of the surrounding mountains and the waterfall and white waters was out-of-this-world. I also heard that one might spot herds of Caribou there.. 🦌
The last couple of stops was outside and in Geiranger. We simply just couldn't stop taking pictures of it's beauty. *tearing up* 🥺
I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves (even though they are nowhere near the real deal ><)
Being a very popular place there were some difficulties with finding a camping spot but thankfully we did find one in the end next to a waterfall.
Such a beautiful place! Eye candy in every direction!

But were my ears as happy as my eyes?
Maybe not, but so what? ^^
We had some barbecue..
.. and went for a nice walk..
..and then the next day we had to head home.
But we made a few stops to really indulge in the surrounding beauty and to take in as much as possible 🦋
Ørnesvingen - The eagle bend 🦅
Up in the mountains where I ran around like I'd gone bonkers.. ^^
To sum it up: It was a bit too short of a trip and for some of us it might have been a bit too spontaneous but we had such a good time filled with fresh air, natural beauty and raw camping joy ^^
We have gathered so many new nice memories that will stay with us a long long time. ❤️
