Hejhej London!
Shoooo~
I'm so bad at time management. As soon as I'm done checking what time it is the time skips ahead one hour or three or even a week! Help!
I said that because it wasn't my plan to post this so late but anyway. Doesn't matter.
A few weeks ago we had a crammed and busy but quite lovely weekend in L O N D O N.
I have been there once before but it was the first time for Taeyang and I think he thought it was all right. At least he liked Camden and all the stalls with street food we found at the market (yeah.. he likes to eat. But who doesn't? XD)!
We arrived in London on a Friday at a late hour so we only had supper and headed to our hotel to get ready for a busy day.
saturday
We started with The national gallery at Trafalgar Square where one could easily spend hours to look at a plethora of paintings. Of course I loved Monet's and Van Gogh's paintings (there was even somewhat of a queue to take a selfie with the sunflower painting! XO) but a painting that especially caught my eye that day was this big painting by Seurat.
It has such nice lustre. It's amazing. 😍
After lunch consisting of a decent fish n chips at Garfunkel's we headed for Big Ben and the other stuff one finds in that area.
It was under construction but it still had that dramatic feel to it. Especially with that dark grey sky hanging over. *bombabuuuuuuh*
Dramatic indeed.
I also found myself a halo XD ??
Happily, we had a lot of sunshine during our stay, but it isn't really London without at least a few showers, right?
I think we spent most of our time that weekend sitting on a red bus..
It's cozy, taking bus.
Next stop:
The best thing in Camden - street food stalls at the market. Food from every corner of the world. A foodtopia! The only sadness is; my tummy is way too small. ㅠㅠ
But at least we got to try some of this 😍:
The market's location is the best!
Lively Camden..
After this we were invited to a friend's place for dinner and a drink and had such a good time so we came back to our hotel late at night. 😴
sunday
Our second day began in Notting Hill where I came across a good deal for a Fjällräven backpack. 👍 😄
Those pastel houses.. 😍
It's also here the hummingbird bakery is located.
We grabbed a carrot cupcake and a vanilla flavoured rainbow cupcake! 😋
From here we hopped on a red one and got off at Leicester square and the Lego shop there. They had a big Lego version of Big Ben with a working and uplit clock! :O
I'm not sure which is more amazing; Lego version or the real one..
They had some other cute stuff too..
There was some kind of Jazz festival (?) on the river bank that evening. We actually didn't see anything jazzy with it. XD but there was this splish-splash-fountain all kids loved.
And so the day and weekend ended with a walk around Tower bridge and a look at the nightview of London.
"Slutet gott, allting gott."
