How to make a Super Easy Bingsu!
Hej!
One of my mini goals last month was to make a korean dish I hadn't made before.
The plan was to make some fancy savory dish but somehow I ended up making an easy version of a korean dessert - shaved ice.
A lot of the times when I buy bingsu the ice is not made out of milk but I think the ones made from milk is way better than the "water icey" ones. It's sweet but not too sweet and it just melts so perfectly :O
The original Bingsu is with red bean-paste and some kind of fruit (optional) and a lot of the times there is some kind of korean chewy ricecakes in there as well.
Let's say my version wasn't that fancy, but I still enjoyed it and so did my hubby! ^^
Ok! It goes like this...!
~Recipe~
For 2 persons (not super big portions though)
You're going to need a mixer or an ice shaver for this.
The "Ice"
2 dl milk (the most yummy milk!)
2 tbs condensed milk (if you like it sweet put some more)
Topping
1-2 kiwi (or any fruit you like)
marshmallows
~How to~
Mix the milk and the condensed milk well in a bowl.
Pour the mixture into an ice tray and put in the freezer for a couple of hours until frozen solid. (it might take up to 5 hours)
Plop out the milky ice cubes into the mixer/ice shaver. (It might be a bit difficult to get the cubes out but the milk thaws quite easily so you can just wait 5-10 min and then try again or do as a non-patient-person like me and pour some warm water on the bottom of the ice tray for maybe 10 seconds and PLOP!)
Mix the cubes carefully in the mixer. We don't want them to melt fully instead become flakes or somewhat like a sherbet.
Pour the yummy stuff into a bowl of good size and top with some sliced kiwi and cute marshmallows and DIG IN!
If you try this or make an upgraded version of it let me know ;D
안녕~!!
