A Quite Happy Day
Hello there!
Wow it is already the last day of 2016!
I can't believe how fast this year past! Yet, when I think about it, I feel like a lot has happened and changed in my life this year..
In this post I'm going to tell you about a day with a lot of happenings XD
Here is first a video I put together of our day..
This week we had our first wedding anniversary!
Actually we had talked a bit about it before how we should celebrate it, but since the date were coming up quicker than I expected I thought that "Well I guess we could just celebrate with a nice hearty dinner". This was also because it was a Tuesday and TY would be working all day.
However the day before he surprised me by telling me that he had booked a room at a spa hotel outside of the city. :O Well that sounds really nice!
At that time he got sick and a bit feverish from a bad cold so I expected that he would want to rest the coming day and then go to the hotel in the evening.
But in the morning he was up, still quite sick but eager to go quick!
"Let's leave at 10.30!"
"Ok, but shouldn't you rest some more?"
Appearently it was ok and before that he was going somewhere by himself, I supposed he was going to see the doctor to get some medicine for that cold.
(Yes, here in Korea you should go to the hospital even for a cold. I don't think you can just go to a pharmacy and buy cold-medicine here, so that's probably why ><.)
Anyway, when he came back he was even more impatient (I was busy getting ready and packing for the stay so I was taking too long XD) and wanted to go right away!
And what was waiting outside the house? A rented convertible BMW sport car XD (He's crazy about those ><)! He was overjoyed! ^^
We took off and first headed to a newly opened clothing shop to buy a couple clothing or something (if you don't know yet about the couple culture in Korea, let me tell you that it is veeery common to see couples perfectly matched from top to toe on a date night. Some just match their shirts or sweaters though.). But the shop hadn't opened yet, so we skipped that and headed for Seogwipo - the second city on this island, located on the south side of Hallasan.
We went to the area of Oedolgae to take a stroll and enjoy the view. I haven't been there before so I enjoyed it.
Our tummies started rumbling at this point so we headed to Seogwipo City to meet up shortly with a friend of TY and devour something!
We ended up at a cozy cafe/restaurant called Mushroom. I love the cute interior :D
Our tummies got full of both donkassu and some gorgonzola pizza and we said 'Byebye' to our friend and headed west to get to the hotel.
On our way there TY wanted to make a stop at a jewelry shop to pick up his new ring (sadly he lost his wedding ring this summer :'( but now we are happy that he got a new one!)
Another stop was made at The Glass Museum but the weather got worse, it was windy, snowy and freezing cold! And that museum is appearently outside so we decided to go there another time x) It looked quite cute though and the entry fee for adults were 9000KRW (which I think is quite a lot so it better be nice!)
The spa hotel called NineSpaVill was quite small and located in a calm area. I think all rooms have a big jacuzzi and a ocean view (as our room had) and when you check in you get to choose some bathing salt (we chose lavender which made it purple, however I think the amount was a bit too little because I couldn't scence any lavender from the water.
They also have an all-you-can-eat-korean-bbq at the roof but we didn't try that one because of what happened next.
It was now around 5pm and he started getting more sick and the fever rose. So after thinking a bit we decided to go back to the city and there go to a small hospital. It was just a cold but he got to stay at the health center for 1,5h to get an IV.
To me it sounds so dramatic but hey, I guess one can get well again much quicker like this.
We ended this kind of crazy of a day with a late dinner eating Seollongtang which is like an oxbone soup with some scary jelly thingies that I don't know how to describe really x). Soup was good (but scary) and back at the hotel I got one more purple bath and a Jeju face pack before getting off to dreamland. Haaaa~ I wish we had room for a jacuzzi at home >< haha
I'm sorry if this post is too much reading XD.
If it is so then just skip and look at the linked video clip XD haha.
안녕~!!
