Meerkat Café in Hongdae
We found the happiest café in HongDae! 😄
Well, it's happy if you like having what seems to be random exotic animals around you.
While scrolling through the Instagram feed of the hashtag #이색카페 I stumbled upon a cute pic of a meerkat (!!).
"What? Is there really a café that lets you play with meerkats?! We must find it ASAP!"
Straight away I googled for address and info and a few hours later we sat there, at the café, aaaaw-ing at the tiny sqeaking meerkats babies. 😍 😍 😍
It's easy to find this café and it's in the very center of hongdae.
When entering one is told to take shoes off and put on crocs-style slippers. Then you order a drink (the usual kind of coffees and teas) that were all 8000-10 000 won.
I had a peppermint tea which was ok (I didn't pay much attention to it though XD).
Except for meerkats this café is home to a fluffy raccoon, a cool genet-cat, an arctic fox (!!) and little cute kitten.
So you can probably imagine that there is a lot to aaw and giggle at while sipping that coffee. 😊

Another exotic beauty; Genet cat. To me it looks like a cute mix of cat,mouse and ferret. ^^
The meerkats are all in a closed pen so you don't have to worry about having one stealing your coffee. ^^
When you want to go in to the pen and play with the cuties you have to first take off your slippers and then calmly entering and sit down.
There is a sign that explains how one should behave around them and that it's best to only stay in the pen for 10 min at a time and also not to bring things into the pen.
They will give you a blanket for your lap and then you just enjoy the company of your new tiny friends.
They are sooo lively and playful!
With long non-sharp claws scratching and tickling their way around, climbing, fighting, playing and just being adorable they will keep you smiling.
I could probably have spent the whole day there if it wasn't for that airplane to catch at Gimpo. ㅠㅠ
But I will definitely visit again!
